Drywall repair and painting can be included in one estimate, with each step listed. Sheetrock is a brand name often used for drywall; if you are unsure what your wall is made from, send a photo. Older plaster, textured finishes and repeated cracking need their own assessment. A small visible patch does not always reveal the full cause of damage.
This service covers minor, non-structural repairs. Active leaks, ongoing moisture, sagging ceilings, extensive damage or suspected mold need assessment by the appropriate specialist before cosmetic repair. Leak repair, mold remediation, whole-house drywall installation and structural work are not included.

The scope identifies surface protection, the repair method, finishing and sanding. Drying between stages can require more than one visit, even when the damaged area is small.
Prime and finish
Agree whether the repair stops at a paint-ready surface or includes primer and paint. Existing texture, lighting, color and sheen affect how a patch blends; repainting a full wall or ceiling may give a more consistent result.

Can you take care of one small drywall patch?+
Yes. Send the size, location and photos so Sam can review it. You can also include door adjustments, trim repairs or other small jobs in the request. Drying and finishing may require separate visits; a small patch is not automatically a same-day repair.
Do you repair water-damaged or stained ceilings?+
Minor ceiling repair can be reviewed after the source of water has been fixed and the area is dry. Staining, softened drywall and sagging are different problems. Sam needs to assess the condition before agreeing to patching, stain-blocking primer or repainting. Painting over an active leak will not solve it.
Will the repaired area match the existing wall?+
The finish depends on the surrounding texture, light, age of the paint and the original color and sheen. A spot touchup may remain visible. Sam can quote painting the full wall or ceiling when that is the better way to create an even finish; an invisible patch is not promised from a photo.
What affects the cost of drywall and ceiling repair?+
The number and size of damaged areas, material, ceiling height, access, texture, protection, drying stages and painting scope all affect the estimate. Send room photos and note whether you want just the repair or the finished paintwork as well.
